We made sure that our rolling shop stool could take whatever you dish out, be it a fulltime repair shop or a weekend warrior in the garage. Using 1mm thick mild steel (roughly 20 gauge steel plate) the base and four 2-inch square body stool supports are fully boxed and welded for superior strength, allowing an impressive 330 pound working weight limit on our garage stool.
The dark gray powder coated finish on our mechanics stool on wheels goes with any shop color scheme and provides a durable scuff and scratch resistant finish that will last. While you will find many a shop stool with wheels gets away with only three casters in a triangular mounting pattern, often smaller two inch steel wheels at that, we use large 3-inch black rubber wheels supported by full ball bearing inserts at all four corners of our rolling mechanic stool. Featuring a 360-degree swivel caster body, this makes for a smooth ride in any direction that can’t be stopped by a wayward zip tie on the ground! If you choose to make it a stationary seat simply replace the casters with the included plastic feet for a stable, non-rolling shop stool for your workbench.
