The Quik Grip traditional ladder-style link chain is manufactured to NACM (National Association of Chain Manufacturers) specifications. A small “V” of low carbon steel material is welded onto each link for added traction and durability. CAMs are pieces of stamped steel that are placed on the outside rail (chain) of the tire chain. The keyhole on the CAM allows a tool to be inserted and turned which takes up slack in the chain. CAM tool #QG20088 is supplied in each bag. Chain tighteners are not required. Does not meet S.A.E. Class “S” requirements. The Quik Grip link chain is available in many styles from standard link (QG2200 Series) to bar-reinforced styles (QG2800 Series). The complete line of Quik Grip light truck products includes CAM and NON-CAM chains, regular, heavy duty and CTO (cold temperature operation) chains. Light truck dual/triples and wide base chains are also available. Chain tighteners are required but not included with all NON-CAM type chains. Chains that offer a CAM tightening system do not require separate chain tighteners, but they do require a CAM tightening tool that is included in the package. Tighteners, replacement cross members and other parts are available through some retailers. Please Note: This traction product does not meet S.A.E. Class âSâ clearance requirements. If you need a light truck product that meets these requirements, you will need to use Super Z6, Super Z8, Z-Chain or Super Z LT.
