The TALOS SFD-1000-G Storm Front and Lightning Detector detects lightning strikes up to 25 miles and is perfect for rugged outdoor vehicles. Featuring auto-sleep functionality that will conserve battery life when not in motion. You’ll get real-time lightning detection of both cloud to ground and cloud to cloud lightning activity.

Our rugged general-purpose lightning detector can be used in numerous applications that include, watercraft, golf carts, construction equipment, ATVs, and more! The detector is portable, includes a detachable mounting base and provides storm safety awareness from lightning strikes while camping, hiking or even walking in the woods.

Thunder can be heard from 10 miles away, but lightning can strike from 25 miles away. The SFD-1000-G can distinguish between a false disturbance and actual lightning.
