The Predator New Mutant X-AT is an all terrain, all season tire created for light trucks and SUVs. Predator offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
Predator covers this tire model and size with its 1-year Road Hazard Warranty! If this tire sustains road hazard damage (which is most typically caused by nails, glass, or potholes) on its tread area, customers have a right to use the Road Hazard warranty for a Tire Replacement or Tire Repair. To receive the Road Hazard warranty, customers with damaged tires must file a claim with Predator.
The model boasts an especially aggressive tread design that stands its ground in a wide range of off-road conditions. The tread blocks are staggered and irregular-shaped, forming a broken glass-like pattern on the tread. This results in a net of zigzag grooves that take care of self-cleaning. They eliminate mud, snow, dirt, and anything that would otherwise get stuck between the tread elements. By keeping the footprint clean, consistent grip is ensured. These features enable the tire to provide better performance in soft, loose, and uneven terrain conditions.
The tire’s all season compound reacts to the temperature changes by maintaining its flexibility. This way, it can continually ensure the same traction throughout the year. The tire’s ability to ensure the same performance every season is also due to its extremely detailed tread. With the dense siping and all the biting edges provided by the tread, gripping the road surface in dry, wet, and winter weather conditions is much easier. With the zigzag grooves, hydroplaning is prevented as well, which is especially important during the vehicle’s on-road performance.
The strengthened compound and reinforced tire structure suit the tire with outstanding damage resistance capabilities. The tire’s self-cleaning ability plays a role in this one too, as it ejects rocks and other debris that would otherwise hurt the tread or casing. This protects the tread elements as well, countering irregular wear. Due to the tire’s sturdiness and strong construction, it maintains its optimal shape under pressure. The compound also resists cuts, impact damage, punctures, and tearing.
