The maverick X3 rock slider is made of heavy duty steel, with a 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) diameter steel tube and a black steel tube end cap on top for durability.
The nerf bar has a black matte powder coating inside and out to enhance the life of the product and make it work where it should. Effectively resists damage to the product from inclement weather.
The matte powder coat finish looks more textured and the good news is that you can rinse and clean the rock slider with water without much effort after rolling in the mud.
