From the manufacturer
IDEAL USE
Use for storm drains, trench and inlet drains, stockpiles, property perimeters, light construction activities or as a check dam
FLEXIBLE DESIGN
Achieves maximum contact on uneven ground; can be shaped at right angles to fully contain an area
SEDIMENT CONTROL
Easy and affordable way to remove sediment and debris from stormwater runoff and boost your erosion control efforts.
STORMWATER SEDIMENT FILTER SOCK
Stays in place without staking or trenching; overlap socks to cover longer distances making it a perfect alternative for straw wattles and silt fences. Natural, recycled media is shelf-stable and won’t grow mold like compost or release harmful compounds into the water supply like rubber media. Silt sock allows water to flow through while filter media removes sediment, trash and debris before it enters the water system.
Filter socks are the ideal perimeter and sediment control solution and, in many cases, cheaper, faster and easier than the alternative — silt fences. These perimeter controls allow water to flow steadily and at a controlled rate while preventing fine soil particles from passing through. The sock is designed to ensure ground contact is made while preventing elements from flowing beneath it. Filter socks can also be used in a variety of landscaping applications for erosion and sediment control as well as construction activities.
- HIGHLY EFFICIENT SEDIMENT FILTER SOCKS allow water to pass through while also acting as a barrier for leaves, debris, and sediment from storm water runoff
- FLEXIBLE DESIGN follows the contours of uneven ground for maximum surface contact
- IDEAL USE FOR storm drains, trench and inlet drains, stockpiles, property perimeters, light construction activities or as a check dam
- FILTER SOCK ELIMINATES the labor and expense of staking or trenching
