OVERVIEW
The Goodyear Eagle Sport TZ is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire improves the high speed controllability. The asymmetric tread design features three center ribs which maintains the surface contact throughout the drive. This upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. The steering becomes faster and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting the model. This tread design, along with the heat-resistant compound and the durable construction, manages to ensure the tire’s high speed durability. They ease the pressure off the tire, prevent heat build-up and maintain the ideal tire shape under the high speed pressure to enable the tire’s best high speed performing ability.
The ideal tread design also upgrades the maneuvering capability. The detailed, high-density siping placement along the tread area helps the tire shorten the braking distance. This is achieved by creating friction between the tire and the road surface, which further enhances the braking power. The tread design’s shoulder block placement heightens the number of biting edges gripping the road surface during the drive. This enables the tire’s stronger grip during cornering and maneuvering, optimizing the tire’s surface grip during the drive.
The tread pattern helps upgrade the summer weather traction. The detailed asymmetric tread design’s circumferential grooves and optimal groove placement allows the tire to successfully channel water from below the footprint. As water trapped on the road surface in puddles is unable to cut off the tire’s surface contact, the tire actively avoids hydroplaning. Hydroplaning is one of the dangerous road hazards, which can easily lead to accidents in wet weather. By resisting it, the model greatly upgrades the wet weather driving security levels. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
