Battery powered chain saws are less expensive to power and maintain, and are cleaner than gas-powered tools. They’re designed for professional use or for advanced DIY-ers. With the Nitro 40V Chain Saw you can cut up to 30” diameter logs that are on the ground or 15” diameter trees and limbs that are still standing. The one-touch tool-less tension system prevents the chain from overtightening and the automatic chain lubrication feature ensures you’ll always have a well-oiled chain which increases the life of both the bar and the chain. The chain pitch is 3/8 in. and this battery powered chain saw weighs only 15.3 lbs. with the batteries installed and 12.4 lbs. bare. (That’s light for a chain saw when compared to older, traditional models.)
